Kuwait Indian School was established on 14 November 1985 by Late Mr. Ibrahim Al-Qutaimi who was the Founder and Chairman of the school. The school at first was launched in Farwaniya as a Primary School.
Inspite of the massive destruction of the school property during the invasion, our school did not wind up. Soon after the invasion the school opened its door to restart it immediately. It was then handled personally by Mr. Ibrahim himself, with the co-operation of Mrs. Kalyani Mukherjee as the Principal and Mrs. Irene Menezes as the Administrative Manager.
After the sad demise of Mr. Ibrahim in 2002, the school was transferred to Mrs. Hind Al-Qutaimi as the Chairperson Administrator and Miss Heyam Al-Qutaimi as the Personal Manager and Authorized Signatory.
As the continuous growth of the school, the old premises had to transfer to one of the Government School building at Jleeb Al- Shyoukh area in 2007 April and by 2010 the school extended up to Secondary level.
Mrs. Kalyani Mukherjee as the Principal, Mrs.Sabahath Khan as the Vice Principal, Mrs. Irene Menezes as the Administrative Manager, with 65 qualified teachers who are working with the school.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. India. Affiliation No-5930016. Also recognized by the Ministry of Education, Kuwait.
The area of school campus is 2.5acres. It has classes from Lower Kindergarten up to Grade 10. The medium of instruction in the school is English. Second language is Hindi/Urdu till Std X .French is offered as Optional Second language from Std V.
